Listening this CD made me snort giggles! It’s short, straight forward, cute and I totally can relate to the characters, even though I’m not an OMG FUJOUSHI KYAAAAA person, I can understand Koharu’s pain because dating a rotten boy/girl is such a pain . So here’s the summary of the short tracks included in the compilation:

– Episode 1
(The senior I respected so much offered me a part time job! He said that the job will be so easy – surrounded by girls, all I need to do is standing up nicely and wearing a black outfit. I didn’t know that I will be thrown in the middle or fangirls’ horde! HELP! THEY ARE SO SCARY! EVEN SCARIER THAN WOLVES.)
This track is about an event where Koharu was pushed around in an event in a costume by scary fangirls. There’s not much to tell, because it’s fairly easy to understand!

– Episode 2
(“…more than anyone, I think about you. Please don’t forget it, the person I cherished the most”)
This track is hilarious, Koharu reads some flowery lines from otome material with a straight voice because Ryohei is sick. It’s really funny and sweet in a weird way! To be honest, I will have the same reaction with Koharu if I need to read lines like that to another person /laughs.

– Episode 3
(“….I don’t want to be a seiyuu, the ones in BL drama Right??! Where two guys go Ahhhn~ Ahhn~~, RIGHT? IMPOSSIBLE!!!!”)
Ryohei makes Koharu voice an original Drama CD, this is the track that made me laughed so much. And it’s really funny when Koharu complained the fact that Ryohei made him an uke instead of the seme.

Overall it’s a fun CD to listen to! Kishio Daisuke is really energetic like usual, and even though I’m not that familiar with Miyake Kenta, I absolutely love his voice in here! If you have knowledge of basic Japanese, I’m sure you can enjoy this CD as much like I did, beside you always can listen to this CD for the laughs even when you don’t like BL.

Durarara! The only thing I will watch this season, thus my thoughts about the first episode.

In case you don’t know, I call all my consoles and electronic with Girl’s name. I just got a PSP today and her name is Molly. With her, I now can write reviews of PSP games (+ 1000 points on HAVING NO LYFE status), so, stay tune guys!

Some people called this game as a copy of The World Ends with You, but I beg to differ. Aside the fact that this game is completely different from TWEWY, Devil Survivor was a really good trip.

To be completely honest, I was and never will be good in Strategy RPGs. But this game? This game is really enjoyable and fun and fast-paced! Just before I realized it, I’ve completely drawn to my NDS screen since the first 30 minutes of the Tokyo lockdown.

Story begins when the Hero, with two of his friends (Atsuro – the computer geek and Yuzu, your energetic average girl) received altered COMPS from Hero’s cousin, Naoya (who apparently is computer a genius) right before an ultimate lockdown happened around the Yamanote line. Unlucky for the trio, not only they get a mail predicting horrid future and being trapped inside the lockdown, suddenly wild demons appeared here and there to attack people. How terrible! However, the trio figured out how to use their altered COMPs and summon demons by themselves. It is hard to write the summary without spoiling the game, but just say that after some investigations they found out that world will end in 7 days.

The game’s graphic is pretty good and fitting. Vibrant colors on the character, accurate depicting on the background location, this game make me wants to return to Tokyo for a while and just sitting in front of Sunshine Building or taking Yamanote train. The music is not helping too, the tracks played inside the game are not the OMG SO GOOD kind of music, but they are so catchy with light techno tunes, I’m sure it will stuck for a long time. I especially want to highlight the designs of the demons because they are simply awesome, after all if it’s about designing Demons, Atlus is the specialist.

Anyway, let’s talk about gameplay. Devil Survivor is a little bit of everything you enjoy in your ol’ RPGs : classic strategic map, face-to-face battle a la dragon quest, breeding demons just like you breed Pokemon (except not really, but you get the point) only with a modern background. Travel around Tokyo, hunting things and investigating while collecting skills and maccas (the game’s currency) to buy and empower your demon’s deck. Like other Shin Megaten games, you can access the skill to fuse your demons to make new or stronger demons. Please note that elements play important role in the battles, you can adjust your demons and your skill through the skill crack.

You can also choose various path and scenarios to determine the ending, there are half a dozen ending you can get in this game along with demons you only can get after several play through, which makes this game has a pretty high replay value, well… at least until you are sick of the battles against Lucifer.

Overall this Devil Survivor is a solid RPG, it has a certain depth that makes you crave for more. It has its funny moments, plot twists and all the cool things. If you are a fan of ATLUS or RPG in general, you really should try this game.

Hello, I doubt anyone read my game blog, but whatevs, school break has started for me and now I can divulge my time for video games again. HURRAH FOR LAST REMNANT. This PC Port is pretty nice. By nice, I mean it still hold my interest even after 30 hours of playing. I certainly can spot loads of flaws in this game, but what I want to write here are mostly my short sadsadsad-ing opinions and the blatantly homosexual hints that Square Enix gave instead of the srs game review. Ah, Last Remnant.. where do we start?

Let’s start with the premise of the story. Rush Sykes is coming from a small island, his papa and mama are researching remnants (Rush’s world’s source of power) somewhere far. Thus Rush is living with his sister, Irina. Suddenly his sister is kidnapped and Rush goes “OH NOE” and try to find his sister in the middle of epic battlefield. There he met Emma, a badass female swordsman who’s actually a general to Lord / Marquis David Nassau. For some reason love at the first sight David decided to help Rush to get his sister back. And then Rush find himself tangled in the middle of nobles who loves to screw commoner’s life. Blah blah blah blah, scenes where Irina calling Rush oni-chan in her prison, Rush doing stupid things, Marquis David being hot blonde, blah blah, people die, blah blah you get the story.

The system is OK in my book, it’s your traditional RPG combined with a touch of strategy. You create units instead of individual party so you need to keep your units balanced in classes and status because the battlefield in this game is pretty rough. I mostly go with one magician, one big guy for tank-ing, and one smasher with big ATK points in each of my unit. I want to write more about the complex system, because to be honest I can’t find any words to type (and I call myself a blogger). The hell with flaws, I’m enjoying this game!1!!!

This game broke my brain. Anyway, if you are looking for a game with pretty graphic, great battle system, not-so-great story and doesn’t mind crack-ish, kinda stupid, two dimensional characters this RPG is for you because the PC port simply tops the 360 version. Especially if you have free time to waste like me. Whoever write the script for this game must be a closet BL fan, because there are so many hints you can extract even from the dialogues with towns people. David, you silly dog.

I actually should not play games like this because finals are approaching, but I’m sick. You can’t help it right? Here are some of my first impressions of game I’ve got my hands on this recent days. Biased? Yes. But it’s because Raidou and his permanent eyeliner told me so.

1. Rune Factory : Frontier [Wii]

Farmer by morning, player by afternoon, and mighty monster beater at night, I bet the ladies will be all over me. TL; DR I like traditional Harvest Moon and I like crawling in dungeons. So it’s decided that I will play this game a lot to release my stress. This game makes me want to play the previous games on NDS, I can’t believe I missed such a wonderful game just because I dislike the moe oriented design.

The Opening song is so catchy too, my God, someone help me before I become helplessly addicted to collecting weeds and wanting a life in a remote places.

2. Shin Megaten : Devil Summoner 2 [PS2]

Ninjas! Danger! Awesome! Everlasting eye liners (I wonder what brand those characters use..)!

It’s a shame that I lost the completed data of the first game because I want to get the extras this game offered. Anyway, the game is great! Just like the first game, but with less glitches and smoother moves / graphic. I’m so in love with the in-game environment, so retro! You most probably see a future review of this game from me *laughs*. LONG LIVE ATLUS!

2. FF Crystal Chronicles : Echoes of Time [Wii]

This game is annoying, dual screen system should stay in NDS, not Wii. You are doing it wrong Square Enix.

When I was reading the news of the making of this particular game, I am thrilled and disappointed at the same time. “Sweet, a Suikoden in a fresher tones” and “Why won’t KONAMI release the 6th game already?”. Either way, Tierkreis was a pretty solid game although I have this mysterious habit of misspelling the sub-title. So here’s my short review of the game! Spoilers avoided as much as possible~ if you think this post is too hurtful to read, skip the wall of text and see the final scores in the end of the post.

The game started at a small typical village with your amazingly positive nameless and orphaned hero and his friends. Events started to happens around them, evil organizations, manipulations, betrayals and voila, the world is in danger (in this game’s case, there are VARIOUS worlds in the wipe goodbye list) so hero must save the world with special star power he received from chronicles from various worlds with his 108 underlings.. I mean friends. Your standard Suikoden plot, only shallower this time.

Unlike the usual rune system in Suikoden, the magic is using classic MP system. I can see how die hard Suikoden fan can find this annoying but to be honestI don’t hate it, in fact it saves me from a lot of desperation :’D. Also, the Missions and side jobs system is an intersting touch too. Who cares about saving the world if you can catch wild animals!?

The graphic is pretty. I especially like the hand-drawn illustration in the upper side of the NDS screen. The characters are neatly crafted and radiate the personality of each character. I have no complaints in the eye-pleasing department because KONAMI has done a good job on the graphic, the details, perspective, background. Perfect for NDS class handheld games. Music can be monotonous at times but it fits to the overall game’s atmosphere.

No comment on the Wi-Fi mode because I didn’t use it.

I’m sorry i hate your son Sisuca but I love you a lot.

In the negative side, I dislike the main hero a lot. I usually like the omg!optimistic main heroes in other JRPGs, but he’s rubbing me in a wrong way. I absolutely have no idea whether he’s so optimistic or plainly stupid to say “We won’t know until we try” for a billionth times in the game even in the middle of obvious pinch. I guess that’s one of the ~*morale*~ this game offer, to think positive and to do your best for your future, but how’s the game choking that lines to the player in a so obvious way makes me cringe. Oh how I adore the funny side characters way more than him. The story script is pretty annoying too at times. yes, I understand The Order is the bad guys and must be shunned from this earth because pre-determined future means no future at all but same with the Hero’s case. The game shouldn’t have repeated the MORALE of the game all over again and again and again. We get it. We are not stupid.

The biggest annoyance I had when I was playing this game is no.. freaking.. map. Why there’s no map in the dungeon? Why? Why? Why would you do that to your consumer, KONAMI? WHY!???

Overall, Tierkreis was a pretty good game, I enjoy it immensely despite of the annoying parts because of the characters and their perks. I really like Roberto, Fredegund and Sisuca. An OK game, but not memorable.
